Revolutionizing Leak Detection And Safety

At Lineriders, we understand the paramount importance of safety and efficiency in industrial operations. We’ve developed a proprietary process that represents the future of leak inspections. This revolutionary method uses a low-cost carbon-based gas (Methane) as a tracer in Nitrogen, creating a non-flammable mixture that can be imaged with infrared technology. The Lineriders Solution, not only puts projects ahead of or back on schedule without compromising quality but also enhances safety. It uniquely allows for purging and pressure testing simultaneously, making the process more efficient. The inertness of our mixture eliminates the need for the de-oxygenation stage, streamlining operations even further. We are committed to working alongside procedure writers to ensure seamless commissioning activities.

The Journey From Conventional To Exceptional

Before 2009, the industry standard for leak detection was a method that had remained unchanged for decades. It involved purging and pressuring systems with a Helium mixture and meticulously sampling every connection in the facility. Although this Helium leak detection method was widely accepted, it was fraught with challenges: it was costly, labor-intensive, and time-consuming. Additionally, OGI cameras, a breakthrough in leak detection technology, were unable to detect Helium or Nitrogen, adding another layer of complexity to the process.

Lineriders embarked on a journey to address these challenges by harnessing the potential of Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) technology. Our vision was clear: to create a non-flammable, non-toxic mixture that could be easily detected by OGI cameras. After extensive research and development, we chose a mixture of Methane and Nitrogen, capitalizing on the unique atomic properties of Methane (CH4).

The resulting mixture underwent rigorous testing, including lab trials in Israel and field trials in the demanding sour gas fields of Alberta, Canada. The mixture not only met but exceeded the stringent engineering requirements for tightness testing, especially crucial in environments with hazardous substances like H2S. Since its market introduction in 2015, our innovative solution has been successfully implemented globally.

Our Commitment to Safety

At Lineriders, safety is not just a policy; it’s our culture. We believe that safety excellence is achieved through the complete and active participation of all employees.
