Quintette Coal Mine in Tumbler Ridge, BC, had been out of service for over 20 years, requiring its gas distribution system to undergo a detailed inspection. Prior to this inspection, we mapped the underground piping and located potential buried valves. To prepare the facility for winter, we identified leaks using our proprietary process, enabling repairs to be completed swiftly. Our non-flammable process allowed for simultaneous operations to continue during our inspection. In under a week, we ensured Conuma Resources stayed on schedule for the cold months and were proud to witness the first coal haul marking the mine’s revival.
